For Jeff, the journey has always been creative, dynamic, and rooted in digital. At the age of 14, he founded his first online company, Illuminated Visions, an online radio production company that produced content for online gaming magazines. Later he founded his own creative interactive agency, overseeing the creation of simple brochure-type sites in the early days of the internet to the highly complex and custom web and mobile projects of today.
As principal of Code83, Jeff continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in digital and design, challenging himself and his team members to continually innovate and bring better ideas and solutions to clients. Jeff studied design at the School of Visual Arts and received his certification in web development from New York University.
When not leading the brigade at Code83 you can find Jeff with his husband Jason, the new Director of Operations, and their rescue dog Jak. They enjoy traveling and attending various art and fashion events throughout New York City. Jeff has a great passion for fashion and jewelry and recently launched his own collection, Jeffrey Burroughs New York, this December.
The life of a designer is a life of fight. Fight against the ugliness. Just like a doctor fights against disease. For us, the visual disease is what we have around, and what we try to do is cure it somehow with design.

Jason has recently joined Code83 and brings his decade of operational and project management experience. Jason received a degree in Business Management from BMCC and studied Photography at the International Center of Photography and NYU. Jason is one of the few people who live in New York City who were actually born here - Coney Island to be exact. He is happily married to Jeff and enjoys traveling with their dog Jak and attending various art and music events. If he's not at Code83, traveling or busy finding the hottest new indie band you can find him here.
Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.

Jonathan became interested in programming early in his teenage years. He began by teaching himself the basics of the web, and as his interest grew, so grew his thirst to learn more. His love for programming and the web eventually led to the University of Georgia where he graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Russian. Jonathan helps Code83 outline their technology strategies and create web applications. He loves using tools like HTML5, CSS3/SASS, React, Flux, Gulp, Node, Ruby/Rails API, and a plethora of Node modules like Browserify.
That's been one of my mantras focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex; you have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple.

Demetri's flair for problem-solving and experience of creating and maintaining responsive websites makes him a natural fit at Code83. He joined the team five years ago and has enjoyed helping clients enhance their sites through the creative use of tools that maximize the full potential of the Web. His favorite challenge is transforming a simple online brochure site into an application that actually supports the client's business and helps them achieve major business goals.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet's pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.
